Hog Roast Great Casterton Rocked Out At An 80s Themed Birthday Party

Now that the summer months are within touching distance, and the weather is starting to pick up again, Hog Roast Great Casterton has been extra busy with outdoor bookings lately! Most notably, we were asked to attend an 80s-themed night at a private residence nearby in celebration of Gemma’s 40th birthday.

Determined to mark the occasion properly, the client had invited all of her closest friends and family members to be part of the exciting event. And to fit with the chosen theme, everyone was encouraged to dress up as an iconic artist from that decade! This meant Gemma’s party was filled with Cyndi Lauper, Prince, Freddie Mercury, Slash and dozens more celebrity lookalikes, which made the evening even more enjoyable and memorable.

Gemma had also decorated the back garden with 80s inspired party decorations, and for entertainment, she had hired a karaoke machine for the guests to perform their favourite 80s tracks. As for Hog Roast Great Casterton, we were on hand to serve a bountiful banquet of tasty barbequed meat options from our irresistible Gourmet BBQ Menu.

Hog Roast Great CastertonPreparing the lip-smacking spread for the 50 guests took our catering team all afternoon, but the results were well worth it! The guests were in their element with the variety of food on offer, and with choices ranging from handmade 100% British beef burgers and our chef’s own gourmet sausages to succulent chicken kebabs, meaty marinated spareribs, and vegan BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls with a wealth of tasty dips and condiments, there was something on the menu that everyone could enjoy.

To complement the menu, Hog Roast Great Casterton also prepared a fresh Greek salad with juicy plum tomatoes, green and black olives and the finest feta cheese, along with our gourmet coleslaw and a huge batch of salt and vinegar-seasoned sweet potato and regular fries. With it being Gemma’s birthday, our team also provided a professional cake-cutting service. This saw our catering manager, Byron, slice and dress the client’s birthday cake in fresh cream and ripe summer fruits before serving it to the guests as a buffet, which ensured the evening ended on a high note.
