Phase 3 of Boris Johnson’s lockdown-easing blueprint comes into play next month, and we all know what that means…Yes, outdoor events are now able to go ahead once again, with a guest limit of 30 people in place!

One of the events we’re most excited about next month, though, is the surprise birthday party of James. With his 80th fast approaching, his family have come together to organise a once in a lifetime celebration in his honour, complete with the birthday boy’s favourite treat: a succulent spit-roasted pig!
Arranging the whole shindig, his daughter Rose had contacted us a while back. And after speaking to our catering manager, Byron, about her vision for the celebration, she was able to find a menu plan that would work for everyone involved. From the meatless grilled veggie skewers to the impressive crackling-covered golden hog; choosing our newest addition, the Alfresco Menu for the occasion guarantees that every guest will have something they can enjoy on the day.
In addition to the main courses, this Hog Roast Cottesmore feast also includes an exquisite selection of olives, Italian cold cut meats, rich cheeses, sundried tomatoes, buttered slices of artisan bread and herb breadsticks, served up as antipasti platters on wooden bamboo boards, which looks visually striking to arriving guests. Adding more depth to the main courses, the spread also benefits from a trio of refreshing salad choices, new potatoes and a pair of homemade desserts to finish off.
Byron and the rest of the Hog Roast Cottesmore team are very much looking forward to what we’re sure will be an incredible day, and having found her perfect menu for the occasion, Rose can’t wait to see the look on her dad’s face when the big surprise is finally revealed!
