Being in and out of lockdowns for the past year has meant that there were many restrictions on the types of events that could be hosted- including weddings. There were limits on the number of guests that could attend, and social distancing was required. As a result, many couples decided to postpone their 2020 wedding until they could host the wedding of their dreams! Recently, COVID-19 restrictions have been easing, which has meant that certain events can resume. Because of this, Glamping With Llamas at Wisbech was happy to host their first wedding back after lockdown, catered for by Hog Roast Newton!
When Tina contacted Hog Roast Newton to organise the wedding catering, our managers Byron and Rodney were so excited to be resuming our wedding catering services! Being chosen to cater for someone’s special day is always an honour and we do all we can to make sure that it is just right. Part of this experience is providing such a variety of wedding menus, including many different dishes to choose between. For this wedding, Tina required wedding catering with canapés, drinks service and dessert for 36 guests- and this is what we provided…
As the guests arrived they were served drinks and canapés, including pan-seared beef, mini fish and chips, roasted duck, and chicken liver parfait. This was followed by a classic Hog Roast Newton main course: our slow-roasted pig served with fresh bread rolls and wraps. We also provided whole-roasted chickens, as well as grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers and BBQ pulled jackfruit to ensure that there was a dish for every guest to enjoy. To finish, we served sticky toffee pudding and chocolate torte, as well as the wedding cake provided by the couple.
