Every family gathering is extremely busy and hectic, so this year Harrison planned to hire Hog Roast Ketton to cater for the occasion to leave him and his wife to enjoy the company of their family. For the menu, we needed to provide something that could be enjoyed by guests of all ages, while being hearty and warming for enjoying on a February afternoon. Our catering manager worked with Harrison to create a custom menu for the event, which included a delicious slow-roasted hog and a selection of tasty extras.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Ketton team will arrive at the family home in the morning and begin to prepare for the midday serving time. We will begin by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook for over five hours. Once ready, it will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be serving succulent pork sausages to create hot dogs for younger guests to enjoy. For the variety of sides, we will serve homemade chips, sweet potato fries, corn cobettes, a green leaf salad, and gourmet coleslaw. Overall, this menu has more than enough dishes for everyone to enjoy, allowing every family to create a delicious lunch with what we have on offer.
