For Madison and her fiancé, a small, intimate wedding was exactly what they had both dreamed of and 2023 was the year that they were going to make this dream a reality! Neither of them had ever wanted a large, busy wedding day, choosing instead to enjoy a beautiful ceremony followed by a relaxed reception close to their home in Rutland. For the reception venue, the couple planned to place a marquee on a field behind their home, which will be perfect for their spring wedding day. They are planning on inviting 30 guests in total to the event and wanted a menu that was simple yet delicious, perfectly reflecting their big day. For the menu, Hog Roast Langham was hired to provide a buffet and our catering manager Colin go to work on creating the perfect catering package. After looking through our options, Madison decided on a classic hog roast with a few additional dishes, followed by a wedding cake provided by the couple.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Langham team is planning on setting up our catering marquee on the field, giving us plenty of space to cook and serve the menu. Our preparation will begin with the hog, ensuring that it is cooked to perfection and packed full of natural flavour. Once ready, it will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside a selection of accompaniments. For the side dishes, we will also be serving homemade chips, sweet potato fries, seasonal salad dishes, crunchy coleslaw, and corn cobettes.
