Hog Roast Ryhall Sets Fire Station’s 60th Anniversary Ablaze with Flavor and Fun!

When we got the call to cater a fire station’s 60th-anniversary open day, Hog Roast Ryhall knew we had to bring the heat (and our delicious food)! Sure, it meant travelling a bit further afield than usual, but this was one event we didn’t want to miss. And wow, it was totally worth the trip!

Hog Roast rutlandThe fire station was celebrating six decades of keeping the community safe, and they threw open their doors to mark the occasion. Showing their support and gratitude, hundreds of locals came along to join the fun. Before long, the station was buzzing with families eager to embrace the action. There was face painting, fire safety demos, and even the chance for kids (and a few big kids!) to sit in a real fire engine. But nothing got the crowd going quite like the smell of our hog roast cooking away!

From midday until the event ended at 5 pm, Hog Roast Ryhall was in full swing, serving up our signature hog roast rolls to hungry visitors. Imagine tender pulled pork, perfectly seasoned and topped with crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and a sweet punch of applesauce—all tucked into soft, fresh rolls. Each bite was a flavour explosion, and the crowd couldn’t get enough!

To satisfy the cravings of the veggie and vegan attendees, Hog Roast Ryhall whipped up some of our famous grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers. And let me tell you, these were a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds! Vibrant courgettes, colourful peppers, zesty red onions, earthy mushrooms, and hearty chunks of Greek halloumi cheese—all kissed by the grill and drizzled with sweet chilli sauce and served with a side of creamy tzatziki. These skewers were a total hit. Even the meat lovers were lining up for them!

By the time the event wrapped up, it was clear the fire station’s 60th-anniversary bash had been a blazing success. Hog Roast Ryhall had an absolute blast catering this event and were so proud to help bring the community together for such a special day. Here’s to 60 more years of fire-fighting heroes, and hopefully, more hog roast parties. Thanks for having us!
