Earlier this spring, Hog Roast Uppingham was contacted by Alice to see if we could cater for a dinner party that she wanted to host this July. She has never hosted any formal events before, but wanted to try her hand at hosting a dinner party at her home in Rutland. She planned to invite 15 close friends and wanted a menu that would suit the formality and theme of the evening, whilst still being delicious and enjoyable. After looking through our menus, Alice worked with the Hog Roast Uppingham team to customise our formal diming package to suit her tastes. She ended up with the perfect menu for the occasion and was eager to begin hosting!
In preparation for the dinner party, the Hog Roast Uppingham team will arrive at the private venue in the morning and get to work on our menu. The first course will include a homemade soup of the day, which is a simple yet delicious dish, especially when accompanied by fresh bread and butter. Following this, we will be serving a classic hog with all of the trimmings. This is sure to be the star of our catering, especially when enjoyed alongside roasted baby potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Finally, the guests can enjoy sticky toffee pudding or a fresh fruit salad, depending on their preferences. This will be a wonderful way to end the meal and our desserts are always a big success!
